Pleasure Principle is a multimedia exhibition exploring the complexities of Black life, subcultural and counter-cultural communities. These select works conceptually engage with love and companionship, collective memory-work as an act of resistance, and query dominant societal narratives. Lustral explorations of civic life, afrofuturism and technology yield works of realism, fantasy and desire through photography, painting, illustration, sculpture, and installation.
Featuring Nicole Briggs, Dredske, Jory Drew, Stephanie Graham, Caswell James, Allen Moore, Anthony Williams. Curated by Sadie Woods.
