Popular culture often reinforces existing modes of conventional thought. Grappling with cavalier attitudes towards power and privilege, this exhibition takes a speculative view of the functional/dysfunctional in social constructs. Dicker, Lurk & Skew is a presentation on oppressive ideals of femininity, the phenomenology of musical aesthetics, and fabrication of globalized economies featuring new works by Ali Aschman, LeRoy Bach, and Hyounsang Yoo. Curated by Sadie Woods.

Opening night reception is Friday, June 26 at Chicago Artist Coalition, 217 North Carpenter Street, from 6:00-9:00pm. Participating artist LeRoy Bach will stage performances at 7:00pm and 8:00pm. Exhibition runs through July 16, 2015.
